Gary Foote began his musical career at the age of three when he first picked up a guitar. Of course, at that time he was too small to hold it properly so he played it lying flat in his lap. By the time he was five he was performing occasionally in coffeehouses in Venice, CA. When his family moved east in 1967 he transferred his talents to student events and eventually into nightclubs in 1968.
CJ Foote began her career singing in churches in various parts of New England. It was during this time she had the opportunity to sing with the Oak Ridge Boys during their formative years. Later she used her vocal talent to pay her way through college.
They met onstage as musicians in 1986 and soon began a long career of business creation and ownership, ranging from television productions to radio and print advertizing, documentary productions to stringers for ESPN's "Scholastic Sports America" and more.
Gary and CJ present as professional and original vocal talent backed by a unique acoustic guitar style. Their powerful testimony reveals their unique journey from religion to freedom in the body of Jesus Christ.
Gary and CJ came to the Lord on July 8, 2008, while Gary was still in recovery from cancer surgery. They since have turned their combined gifts to singing praises to the Lord and creating the music the Lord has been giving them.
Gary K. Foote and CJ Foote have been married for 23 years.
